Born to Amon and Nora Cantrell. Proceeded in death by his wife Wathalene Risby Cantrell. He is survived by two daughters Sherry Cottle and Woodena Owens both of Keaton Ky, one sister; Irene Hill, three Grandchildren and three Great-grandchildren.Visitation Sunday from 6 to 9 pm at the Paintsville Funeral Home. Funeral Services on Monday, September 21, 2015 at 11 am in the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Wheeler Officiating. Burial to follow at the Keaton Cemetery, Keaton, KY.
Anna Fairchild 77, passed away September 17, 2015 at her home in Staffordsville Ky. Born May 22, 1938 to the late Frank and Annie Wunderlin Wohlgamuth in Carey, OH.She was united in marriage to Ernie Fairchild on July 10, 1956 who proceeded her in death after 49 years of marriage. Also proceeded in death by two sisters; Janet Sue and Rose Mary Wohlgamuth.Anna was a homemaker that devoted her life to the care of her family and home.She is survived by two daughters; Kathie ( Richard) Keaton of West Liberty, Ky and Karen (Roger) Stambaugh of Staffordsville, Ky. Three sisters; Marie Plott of Carey, OH, Vickie (Larry) Shearer of Avery, TX and Brenda Wohlgamuth of Findlay, OH. Four Grandchildren; Clifton (Lisa) Keaton of Morning View, KY, Bryan (Angie) Keaton of West Liberty, Ky, Jeffery Stambaugh and Karen Stambaugh both of Staffordsville, Ky. Seven Great-Grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.Graveside services will be held Sunday, September 20, 2015 in the Fairchild Family Cemetery on Left. Gusta J. Estep
Gusta June Estep was born February 8,1924 in Johnson County, KY to the late Charles W. (Bill) and Lexie Ethel (Phillips) Estep. She ascended to Heaven on Tuesday, September 15, 2015. She was the oldest of ten (10) children. Gusta was preceded in death by one sister Annie Mae Estep (who died at birth), and three (3) brothers Robert Paul Estep (who died at 20 days old), David Phillip Estep and Freelin Webster Estep. She is survived by 2 Sisters Lourania Maxine Estep McKenzie of Brewster, Oh and Helen Rita Estep Adams of Wheelersburg, OH and 3 brothers Alford Ford (Faye) Estep of Fairborn, OH, Charles Richard (Betty) Estep of Pickerington, OH and James Wonnie (Lois) Estep of Reynoldsburg, OH.
Gusta married Washington Junior Estep on August 6,1941 and they remained a loving couple for 60 years until he proceeded her in death on December 27, 2001. To this union was born 2 Sons; Bobby Dean (Kathy) Estep of Piano, TX and Roger Michael (Vickie) Estep of Flat Gap, KY who are still surviving her. Gusta is also survived by 4 Grandchildren; Misty Dawn (Benny) Risner of Swamp Branch, KY, Joshua Michael Estep of Cresent Springs, KY, William Blake Estep of Tyler, TX and Christopher Dean (Heidi) Estep of Princeton, TX and 1 Great Grandchild; Hank Junior Estep of Princeton, TX.
She is also survived by a sister-in-law; Lillian Cora (Bill) Hughes of Lancaster, OH and a brother-in-law; Willis George (Betty) Estep of Flat Gap, KY. Also surviving Gusta is a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Friends, Neighbors and Loving Christian Family. And one special friend she considered as the daughter she never had; Phyllis (Leon) Blanton of Van Lear, KY.
Gusta was Converted December 11,1946 and baptized December 14,1946. She joined the Cold Springs United Baptist Church where she remained a faithful, loving member until her death. She and Junior became Deacons of Cold Springs on May 12,1979 and served with love and dedication until Junior's death in 2001.
Gusta was Postmaster of the Fuget, KY Post Office for 43 years at which time she retired. She and Junior owned and ran Estep's Grocery all the years they were married. She was a devoted Wife, Mother, Homemaker, Store Keeper, Gardner, Farmer and so much more. She loved to cook for family and friends, to make quilts, and could always find time to help her family, friends and neighbors in times of need.
These few words don't come close to telling the story of Gusta's (Mom's) life or how she'll be missed but we know that our loss is only the beginning of joy for her as she begins her New Life with the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, September 20 at 11 am at the Coal Springs United Baptist Church, Flat Gap, Ky. With Elder Eulas Adams, Elder Willis George Estep and Elder Johnny Mollett Officiating. Burial to follow at the Sheridian Estep Cemetery Flat Gap, Ky.
Friends may call 6 to 9 pm on Friday, Saturday 1 to 4 pm at the Paintsville Funeral Home. Visitation on Saturday starting after 6 pm at the Coal Springs United Baptist Church till time of service on Sunday..

Phyllis Jean Colvin, 78 of Paintsville Ky. Wife of Danny Colvin, died September 10, 2015 in the Highlands Regional Medical Center Prestonsburg, Ky. Born to Buel Williams, and Esta (Howard) Williams of Paintsville, Ky. She is survived by one son, Danny Gene Colvin of Lexington, Ky., several Aunts and Uncles. Two Brothers proceeded her in death, Buel Hurrman Williams, and James Edward Williams. Visition will be held at the Paintsville Funeral Home, Saturday 6-9pm. Funeral Services will be held Sunday 2pm at the First Baptist Church, Paintsville, Ky. Rev. Wayne Cornett Officiating. Burial to follow at the Johnson County Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville, KY.
George Reed 91, of Salyersville Ky died September 16, 2015. Born to Fred Reed and Annie Margaret Gross of Boones Camp, Ky. Proceeding him in death is his wife, June Bell Reed. He is survived by three children; Rebecca Lynn Travis of Paintsville Ky, Georgiana Michelle Bowling of Flat Gap Ky, and Robert Daniel Reed of Paintsville Ky, four Brothers; Tom Reed Jr., Billy Ray Reed, Fred Reed Jr., Larry Joe Reed, and three sisters; Betty Jo Dixon, Maltie Mae Cline, and Stella Young.

John Parker Brown, 17 months old of Lexington, Ky died September 3, 2015, at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital. Born to Ryan Michael Brown and Amber Lynn Galovics-Brown formerly of Paintsville, Ky. He is survived by one sister Adalynn Claire Brown. Paternal Grandparents Mike and Sandy Brown, of Paintsville, Ky. Maternal Grandparents Mark, and Debbie Galovics, of Paintsville, Ky and Great-grandparents Paul and Peggy Brown of Paintsville, Ky and Juanita Blanton of Staffordsville.
Visitation Tuesday 5-9pm, Wednesday 10am-9pm at the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel. There will be a funeral procession starting at the Paintsville Funeral Home Parking lot Thursday at 1pm going to the Eastside Freewill Baptist Church. Where visitation will be held from 2pm to5pm. She is survived by her husband Tom Reed Jr., one brother: Paul R. George, Three sisters; Tammie Jean George, Brenda Marie Gillispie, and Misty Dawn Lowe.Visitation begining Tuesday September 22nd from 9am to 9pm at the Paintsville Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held in the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel, on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 11:00 AM with Rev Chester Kiethley officiating.
