GLADYS Mae RATLIFF

Gladys Mae Ratliff age 89 of Staffordsville passed away Wednesday May 5, 2019 in Magoffin County. She was born to Guy and Dessie Hannah Crace of Johnson County in 1929. Gladys was a retired employee of the Johnson County Fiscal Court where she worked as a custodian.

Gladys is preceded in death by her husband Hassell Ratliff; two sons Larry Ratliff and James Dean Ratliff; two sisters Anna Jewell Hitchcock and Ernestine Spurlock; and three brothers Charles Crace, Fred Crace and Raymond Crace.

Survivors include two sons Garry (Donna) Ratliff and Michael Ratliff both of Staffordsville; four brothers Guy Franklin

(Ernestine) Crace of Dayton, Ohio; Leon (Phyllis) Crace and James W. (Yvonne) Crace both of Staffordsville; and Eulas (Vicki) Crace of Paintsville; three grandchildren Gayla (Richard) Adams of Grayson, Miranda (Mark) Caudill of Leander and Tabitha (Joe) King of Staffordsville; and 6 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday June 7 at the Fairview Freewill Baptist Church at Staffordsville from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Saturday June 8 from 9:00 am until time of service. Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 8 at the Fairview Freewill Baptist Church at Staffordsville at 12:00pm . Burial will immediately follow the service in the Ratliff Cemetery at Lower Twin Branch at Staffordsville.

Grace LeMaster 

Grace LeMaster 95, of Little Paint, Ky passed away at her home in Miami, FL on June 9, 2019.

Grace is preceded in death by her daughter Wilma Faye; husband, James LeMaster; parents Hollie and Nancy LeMaster; brothers Jesse, Elmer, Arnold and Melvin Lemaster, and by her sister, Merle Vanhoose.

Grace is survived by her daughter, Lana Jane Womble; granddaughters, Stephanie M. Womble (Michael Kunert; Sheila Y. Womble (Tom Scicluna) and great-grandson Adam Scicluna. She is also survived by her sisters Martha Conley and Ruby Doyle as well as many other loving family Members and friends including Glenn Womble of West Palm Beach, FL and Garry Venters of Jacksonville, NC.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 14, 2019 from 5:00 – 9:00 in the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 11:00am in the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Rusty Preston Officiating. Burial will immediately follow service in LeMaster Cemetery in Oil Springs, Ky.All arrangements are under the direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home.

Harold Estep 

Harold Estep age 77 of Meally passed away Sunday June 16, 2019.  He was born at Red Bush Ky in 1941 to Woodford and Grace Blair Estep.  Harold served in the United States Army  and was a 47 year employee of Ladd Engineering where he retired in 2012. He was also a longtime member of the Southside Freewill Baptist Church.

Harold was preceded in death by his loving wife Susan  (Sue) Elizabeth;  a son Steven Wesley Estep; and a sister Ruth Estep.

Surviving are a son Robert (Melissa ) Estep of Winchester; one grandson Eric ( Shaina) Estep of Richmond; two brothers Bill (Barb) Estep of Flat Gap and Carrol (Wanda) Estep of Centerville Ohio; a special niece Bailey (Phillip) Wells and her children  Peyton, Kiley, and Jaycie

Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 18 at the Southside Freewill Baptist Church from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Wednesday at 9:00 am until 11:00 am.  Funeral Services will be conducted at the Southside Freewill Baptist Church on Wednesday June 19 at 11:00 am with Bro. Wayne Price officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service  in the Blanton Branch Cemetery at Pickle Fork in Staffordsville.

All arrangements are under the direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home.

Francis Patrick Witten 

Francis Patrick Witten age 91 of Staffordsville, KY passed away at his home on June 21, 2019. He was born at Oil Springs Kentucky in 1927 to Pickney French (Bill) and Hazel Risner Witten. Francis was a veteran of the United States Army and retired self-employed paving contractor. He was also a long-time member of the Little Mud Lick Church of God.

Francis was preceded in death by his loving wife Mary Elizabeth Witten; three brothers James E. (Jim) Witten and Walter Witten, Richmond Day; a sister Katherine Hazelette; and a granddaughter Kendall Elizabeth Witten.

Survivors include two sons Bill (Sherry) Witten of Staffordsville and Steve (Marlitta) Witten of Denver; a sister in law Irene Adams of Denver; a grandson William Patrick Witten of Staffordsville; two grand daughters Kayte (Rocky ) Harless of Sitka and Hope Witten of Staffordsville; and four great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday June 23, 2019 at the Paintsville Funeral Home from 11:00am to 9:00pm and also on Monday June 24, 2019 from 11:00am to 9:00pm. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday June 25, 2019 at 1:00pm in the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel with Tobe Wheeler officiating. A full military service will follow the funeral. Burial will be at the Lakeview Cemetery at Staffordsville, Ky. All arrangements are under the direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home.
