Dollie Mae Butler
Dollie Mae Butler age 88 of Hager Hill passed away on Saturday July 13, 2019 at her home. She was born to Leonard and Loula Caldwell Layne in Floyd County, Kentucky in 1931. Dollie was a member of the Little Mud Lick Church of God, the Order of Eastern Star, and the Hager Hill Homemakers, Brownie Leader Troop and Girl Scout Leader.
She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Earl Butler; three brothers Wilbur Layne, Edward Layne and Ellis Layne; and four sisters Virginia Witten, Myrtle Blanton, Geraldine Hamilton and Stella Adkins.
Survivors include two daughters Shelia Nellipowitz of Hager Hill and Earlena (Jesse) Vanderpool of Lexington; four grandsons Robert Paul (Kim) Nellipowitz, James Andrew Nellipowitz, Patrick (Amanda) Vanderpool, and James Vanderpool; four great grandchildren Ashley Paige Nellipowitz, Eli Thomas Nellipowitz, Mason James Nellipowitz and Connor Vanderpool.
Friends may call on Tuesday July 16 at the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Wednesday July 17 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Little Mud Lick Church of God at Staffordsville.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 17 at 12:00 pm at the Little Mud Lick Church of God at Staffordsville. Burial will immediately follow at the Butler Family Cemetery at Staffordsville.

Gwendolyn Lee Preston Stambaugh
On July 15th, Gwen Stambaugh age 80, of West Palm Beach, Florida received the message from God to “come home” and in an instant she left to be with the Lord.
Gwendolyn Lee Preston Stambaugh was born on September 27, 1938, to the late Ernest Ray and Alta Lee VanHoose Preston. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Burns and Bernice Byrd VanHoose, and her paternal grandparents, Cyrus M. and Mary Belle Cunningham Preston and an uncle, James C. Preston.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Gar, of West Palm Beach, Florida; son, Joey and Russell, of Louisville, Ky, two first cousins, Jerry and Judy from Port Ritchie, Florida 3 nieces, 4 great nephews, 3 great-great nieces, and 2 great-great nephews.
Friends may call on Friday July 19 at the Paintsville Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and at the Tom’s Creek Freewill Baptist Church on Saturday July 20 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday at the Tom’s Creek Freewill Baptist Church at 11:00am. Pastors, Bill Browning of Louisville, KY and Tim Hamilton of Dayton, Ohio, will be officiating with burial immediately following at the Johnson County Cemetery in Staffordsville, KY. The graveside service will be officiated by Dwight Smith of West Palm Beach, Florida. In Lieu of Flowers the family requests donations be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospitaby contacting the Paintsville Funeral Home. All arrangements are under the directions of the Paintsville Funeral Home.
Mistcha (Misty) Raye Wells Powers
Mistcha ( Misty) Raye Wells Powers age 62 of East Point passed away on July 26, 2019 at her home. She was born in 1956 to Bill and Patty Evelyn Wells in Johnson County. She was a 1974 graduate of Johnson Central High School. Misty was saved in the early 70’s and was a long time, devoted member of the Paintsville Church of God where she served as treasurer. Misty loved the Lord and she spent her life lovingly serving him and generously helping all she came in contact with.
In addition to her parents, Misty is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Powers; her daughter Misty Dawn Green; a cousin Jeffrey Sturgill and a special aunt Peggy Sturgill.
She is survived by a brother Tim (Glenna) Wells of Alabama; son in law Dr Chris Green of Paducah; two grandsons Conrad Green and Luke Green both of Paducah; an adopted son Dwight Stambaugh of Thelma; long time devoted friend Ricky Wright; very special cousins Steve (Debbie) Sturgill of West Van Lear, Randy (Janie) Sturgill of Rush, Greg (Camille) Sturgill of Wittensville, and Chuck( Kim) Castle of East Point; a loving Momma Betty Stickler of Drift; special friend Teresa Blevins: and a host of cousins, close friends, and neighbors.
Friends may call at the Paintsville Funeral Home on Sunday July 28 from 6:00pm to 9:00 pm and again on Monday July 29 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday July 30 in the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 am with Dan Heaberlin and Jimmy Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeview Cemetery at Staffordsville.

Faye Blanton, age 85, widow of Melvin Blanton, passed away at UK Hospice Care Center on July 26, 2019
Faye was born in Paintsville, Kentucky on October 29, 1933, a daughter of the late Willie and Haley (Redford) Spencer.
Faye is survived by 3 sons; Garry (Dianna) Blanton of Owensboro, KY , Jerry (Lilah) Blanton and Melvin Junior Blanton both of Salt Lick, KY , 2 daughters; Shirley (Sandy) Blanton of Winter Park, Florida and Debbie Botner of Beatty, KY , @ brothers; Eddie (Jo Ann) Spencer of Florence, KY and Bobby Ray (Sharla) Spencer of Van Lear, KY , 8 grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
Faye was proceeded in death by her parents, Willie and Haley Spencer, Her husband, Melvin Blanton, one son and daughter in law, Larry Joe and Sandy Blanton, 2 brothers, Lonnie and Billy Spencer.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at Booneville Funeral Home in Booneville, KY.
Graveside service will be held Monday, July 29, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Williams-Blanton Family Cemetery in Paintsville, KY , with Jerry Meek officiating, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
