Delmon Williams, age 93, of Flat Gap died September 6. He is survived by his Daughter: Jerrilyn Auxier. Funeral services will be held in the Chapel, of the Paintsville Funeral home at 11 a.m. Thursday, with burial to follow at Williams Family Cemetery, Flat Gap, Ky. Friends may call, at the Paintsville Funeral Home from 5 till 9 p.m. on Wednesday. Arrangments under the directions of the Paintsville Funeral Home.host of family and friends.
Angie Hickman age 89 died Sep7, 2016 she is survied by one brother Harrison Howard of Paintsville,ky. Two sisters Noretta Grimm and Mary Gullett both from Purdue, Oh. Funeral services will be held in the Chapel, of the Paintsville Funeral home at 11a.m. Saturday, with burial follow at Johnson County. Memorial Cementary, Staffordsville, Ky. Friends may call, at the Paintsville Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. On Friday. In lue of flowers contribution can be made to 3rd street Free Will Baptist Church. John Burton Back
John Burton Back, 75, of Flat Gap, went to his rest on Monday, September 12, 2016, at the Pikeville Medical Center.
John was born in Weslaco, Texas, November 3, 1940, to Aage Jensen Back and Bernice Eleanor Smith Back.
At age 8 John moved with his family to Magazine, Arkansas, and then to Searcy, Arkansas a few years later. He graduated from Searcy High School and spent 2 years at Arkansas Tech before joining the navy. He served his country well around the world for 5 years.
Back as a civilian, John worked in communications, including TV, radio, and newspaper. The last 30 years of his life has been devoted to ministering for God as a pastor in the United Methodist Church in both Arkansas and in Eastern Kentucky. His last charge was Oil Springs United Methodist Church.
John is survived by his wife, Judy Carr-Back, his son, Jeremiah Back (Kim) of Staffordsville, his two granddaughters, Delilah and Rowan, his brother Edwin Back (Diann) of Charlotte, North Carolina, a host of extended family, and a host of friends who will miss him.
Visitation will be held Wednesday (9/14/2016) from 5pm to 9pm at the Oil Springs United Methodist Church. Funeral Services will be Thursday (9/15/2016) at 1pm at the Oil Springs United Methodist Church with pastor McCoy Taylor officiating. Burial to follow the the Carr Family Cemetery in Flat Gap, Ky,
