Calvin Reed 

Calvin Reed age 67 of Jenkins, KY passed away on August 8, 2019 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY. Calvin was born September 3, 1951 to Winston and Lillian (Bill) Reed in Jenkins, KY. He worked for the Travel Centers of America for 25 years.  

Calvin is preceded in death by both of his parents Winston and Lillian (Bill) Goins Reed.

Calvin is survived by his loving wife of 39 years Pamela Tackett Reed Ashland, KY.; one son Brandon (Destiny) Reed; one daughter Cellesta Watts; six grandchildren Dax Andrew Watts, Kendall Grace Reed, Gaige Anthony Watts, Trace Alexander Watts, Konner Winston Reed and Kamer Edward Reed; and  a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday August 11, 2019 in the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel from 10:00am until time of service starting at 1:00. Funeral Services will be held same day , Sunday, at the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel starting at 1:00pm with Rusty Preston officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville, KY. All arrangements are under the direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society by contacting the Paintsville Funeral Home.

Allen C. Trimble

Allen C. Trimble, age 71, departed this life on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at the Baptist Health in Corbin. He was born on August 13, 1948 in Paintsville, Kentucky to Granvil C. Trimble and Billie Marie (Allen) Trimble. He was preceded in death by his parents, Granvil and Billie Marie (Allen) Trimble.

 

A member of the Corbin Presbyterian Church, he is survived by his wife, Sherry (Chambers) Trimble of Corbin, Kentucky; son, Graham Chambers Trimble (Marianne) of Corbin, Kentucky; three granddaughters, Reagan, Samantha, and Lauren; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Chambers of Corbin, Kentucky; sisters, Toni Trimble Lawner (Arnold) of St. Petersburg, Florida and Arminta Trimble of Corbin, Kentucky; brother, Morton Bruce Trimble (Robin) of Winchester, Kentucky; nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.

 

A 1966 graduate of Madison Central High School, Allen continued his education at Eastern Kentucky University graduating in 1970. Upon graduating from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1975, he set out in career in the practice law spanning almost 45 years. He was practiced law as a partner in the law firm of Forcht and Trimble in Corbin, Kentucky and later as a partner in the law firm of Trimble and Mann. He served as Commonwealth’s Attorney for the 34th Judicial Circuit (McCreary & Whitley Counties) for 31 years before retiring in 2018. As a prosecutor for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, he served as President of the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Association and was twice awarded Kentucky’s Prosecutor of the Year in 2008 and again in 2017. He was instrumental in creation and construction of the Corbin Campus of Eastern Kentucky University. A former President and Coach of the Corbin Little League, he considered one of his greatest achievements outside of the practice of law to be President of the Corbin Little League during their 1992 State Championship season. He previously served as Whitley County Trial Commissioner, Coach of the Williamsburg High School Mock Trial Team, and at the time of his death, practiced law with Trimble Law in Corbin, Kentucky and served as Domestic Relations Commissioner for the 34th Judicial Circuit.

 

Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until the Funeral hour Thursday, August 29, 2019 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.

 

Funeral Service will be at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, August 29, 2019 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerome McCullah and Hon. Howard Mann officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Highland Memorial Gardens in Paintsville, Kentucky.

Martha Kimbleton 

Martha Kimbleton age 90 formerly of Staffordsville,Ky passed away on August 16, 2019 in Columbus. Ohio.
Martha was born August 25, 1928 to Buell and Allie Pennington Lemaster in Win, Ky.
She is proceded in death by her Husband of 40 years Corvin Kimbleton; one son Thomas Kimbleton; one daughter Dora Lewis; four brothers Willis Lemaster, Kenneth Lemaster, Ellis Lemaster, Clyde Lemaster; one sister Lenie Fowler; one granddaughter Susan Finley.
She is survived by two sons Jim Kimbleton and Charles Kimbleton ; one daughter Susie Salyers; two brothers Darrell Lemaster and Wallace Lemaster; two sisters Katherine Cantrell and Roxie Blevins; 9 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren and 20 great- great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday August 19, 2019 in the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00pm – 8:00pm. Funeral Service will be on Tuesday August 20, 2019 at 10:00am in the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel with Paul Castle Officiating. Burial to follow at the Kimbleton Family Cemetery at Staffordsville, Ky. All arrangements are under the direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home.

Harry I Salyer

Harry I Salyer age 88 of Joes Creek in Flat Gap, Kentucky passed away on August 22, 2019 at his home. He was born in Johnson County in 1931 to Stanley and Mattie Frazier Salyer. He was a retired employee of Energy Coal and also worked as sewing machine repairman. 
In 1956 Harry married Mandy Salyers and to this union were born two daughters, Margeania and Kathy.
Harry was a United Stated Army Veteran and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. In 1978 Harry joined the Cold Springs United Baptist Church where he remained a member for 41 years.

In addition to his parents, Harry in preceded in death by his wife Mandy; daughter Margeania; and twin infant brothers. He is survived by his daughter Kathy and a host of friends , neighbors, and family members.

Friends may call Saturday August 24 from 2:00pm until 9:00pm at the Paintsville Funeral Home and again on Sunday August 25 from 9:00am until 3:00pm. Patsy McFaddin Blanton Caudill

Patsy McFaddin Blanton Caudill age 86 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away on August 28 at her home.

She was born in Johnson County in 1932 to Tomie and Emaline Robinson McFaddin.  Patsy was a retired employee with G. C. Murphy Company and a member of the State Road United Baptist Church in Magoffin County.

She is preceded in death by  husbands Rex Blanton and Hager Caudill; grandson Matthew Conley; granddaughter Sarah Ashley Blanton; great grandchild Garet Conley; stepson David Caudill; step daughter Connie Coppeler; step grandson Mitchel Pachuta; four brothers Tomie McFaddin Jr, Eugene McFaddin, Robert McFaddin and James McFaddin; and  one sister Nancy McFaddin.

 

Patsy is survived by one son Daryl (Valerie) Blanton of Oil Springs; two daughters Donna (Ron) Conley of Flat Gap and Dana (Bryan) Taylor of Hager Hill; two grandsons Mark Conley and Michael Blanton; four granddaughters Heather Conley, Crystal Todd, Carrie Caudill and Elise Hatten; 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; one sister Frances (John) Arnold of Springfield; one step daughter Linda (Mark) Pachuta of Indiana; 4 step grandchildren; 8  step great grandchildren; one step great great grandchild; and  special church sisters  and a host of friends and family.

Friends May call at the Paintsville Funeral Home on Friday August 30 from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm and again on Saturday August 31 from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm.  Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday August 31 at 1:00 pm in the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will immediately follow in the Roscoe Blanton Cemetery at Low Gap, Kentucky.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to the State Road United Baptist Church by contacting the Paintsville Funeral Home.
