Walta Lee Preston, 76, wife of Byrd O. Preston, died February 16, 2008. She was born January 4, 1932, to the late Walter & Oena Grimm Daniel of Stambaugh, Ky. She is survived by Son: Byrd O. Preston III and Daughter- in-law, Trish Preston, Phoenix, AZ; and 4 grandchildren. She owned and operated the Peggy Lou Shoppes in Paintsville and Prestonsburg, and Olivers of Paintsville. She had served on the Board of Trustees of Paul B. Hall Medical Center, Paintsville. Funeral Service at Southside Freewill Baptist Church, Paintsville on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at 1 p.m.. Friends may call Tues. 1-9 p.m., Wed. 11 a.m., Southside FWB Church. Rev. E.J. Young and Rev. Wayne Price officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home. Burial at Preston Cemetery, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Contributions are requested to the Southside Freewill Baptist Church Building Fund by contacting the church of the Paintsville Funeral Home.
