Jane Walker Bailey, 85, wife of William G. "Bill" Bailey of Paintsville, died April 3, 2008 in Lexington, Ky. She was born September 28, 1922, in Paintsville, Ky. to the late Elmon and Carolyn Vaugh Clay. She is survived by Son: Clay Bailey, Paris, Ky.; Daughter: Nancye Thompson, Lexington, Ky.; Granddaughters: 3: Great-grandchild: 1. She was a retired teacher with the Paintsville Independent School System and wrote a column "As I Was Saying" weekly for Paintsville Herald.
Funeral Service at First United Methodist Church, Main Street, Paintsville on Sunday, April 6, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Don Barnett officiating.

Burial at Mayo Cemetery, Paintsville, Kentucky.
