Alva Howard, 77, of Oil Springs died April 28, 2008. He was born March 19, 1931 at Buffalo in Magoffin Co., Ky. to the late Kernie Lee and Myrtle Collinsworth Howard. He is survived by his Son: David Howard, Oil Springs; 6 Brothers: Clyde & Eddie both of Florida, Stephen of Texas, Tom & Wilmer of Dayton, Ohio, and Darrell of Enon, Ohio. 3 Sisters: Chorena Long, Enon, Ohio, Roxie Pennington, New Lebanon, Ohio & Gloria Trusty, Wittensville, Ky. He was preceded in death by his wife, Opal Mae Owens Howard in 1987. Funeral Service at Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel, Paintsville on Friday, May 2, 2008 at 11 a.m. Elder J. D. Rice and Elder Carl Howard officiating. Friends may call Thurs. 4-9 p.m., Fri. 9 a.m., Paintsville Funeral Home. Burial at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville, Kentucky.
